The Origin was Lii Song’s first finished speaker and remains a classic. Since 2016, we have sold hundreds of pairs. However, while its sound was highly praised, some customers complained that it was too large and had a poor “Wife Tolerance Factor.” With this in mind, we have been working on a successor that keeps the beloved sound of the Origin while reducing its size.
At first, we tried to achieve this through clever design. But after many attempts, we found that simply reducing the cabinet size would inevitably lower the sound quality, which was an unacceptable compromise. However, during the development of the Amber Crystal-4, we got inspired: why not develop a dedicated driver specifically for an improved cabinet structure? The result was a great success, and we created the ultimate successor to the Origin: the OriginX Neo.
The OriginX Neo is one-third narrower than the Origin. It continues the curved structure of the original and cleverly uses reflected sound waves to cancel each other out, resulting in a clear and transparent sound that is close to the clean texture of an Open Baffle. But its greatest highlight is our custom-made Silver-10EVO driver. Not only are all components specifically tuned for this cabinet, but we even developed a paper cone structure optimized just for it. This makes the OriginX Neo’s sound clearer with a more defined soundstage and concrete imaging. The midrange is full, the treble is delicate, and the bass is deeply impressive with great elasticity. Overall, its performance clearly surpasses the older Origin.
