Description

The Zen Master open baffle is a classic open baffle design created by Steve Deckert of Decware Audio and based on the original design from Caintuck Audio：

During development of the open baffle, Steve found our F-15 driver units and used them on the design with very satisfactory outcome, after he shared his discoveries, many audiophiles followed this design and gave their happy feedback. Then Decware refined the design and started offering a hardwood version of “Zen Master” series of open baffles:

The Zen Master open baffle we are offering follows the same acoustic design, but have some differences in terms of material and finishing. They are made by piano factory using piano MDF + veneer and finished in piano glossy thick lacquer, and reinforced by a heavy metal base with spikes, this brings a very stable acoustic base for sound performance. The front openness is curved shape forming a small horn that inproves the dense midrange and ensures smooth projection of soundwave. We also installed the drop-in upgrade of F-15, Fast-15 that has both bass and high improved so as to make sure the sound as impressive as the look.

    My new ZF15L speakers have approximately 400 hours of break-in time now and are beginning to sound very good. I have been using a highly regarded pair of 7 feet tall open baffle speakers in my main system for the past six years that sell for around $12,000 per pair. I am comparing these speakers to my new ZF15Ls, and let me tell you, the ZF15Ls not only present a real challenge to my old OB speakers, they excel them in a number of ways.

    I will write more detail as they continue breaking in over the next few weeks, but let me end with this; I’ve never heard any speakers remotely close to the price of your ZF15Ls that can be compared to them. Your ZF15Ls must be one of the best bargains in the history of home audio! In my 53 years of chasing great sound these speakers give more bang for the buck than anything else I’ve ever purchased. For the money, Lii Song ZF15Ls are outrageous over-performers!
